What Wines, beers or spirits are ya’ll drinking to night? With what food?

Were going to eat italian tonight—and Im still trying to figure out what kind of Wine. I know we are going to share a Dessert Wine over an open fire—probably plum sake–but still looking for a drink for our italian dinner. Any sugggestions? Or maybe tell me what youre eating and drinking

The best advice I ever got from a renowned winery was not to worry about what types of wine go with what types of food. Drink what you like! What I would suggest is to go with a dry Red Wine such as a good cabernet (if you like reds) with your dinner – that way when you get to your plum sake (yum!) at the fire, it’ll taste like the perfect sweet dessert.
