Gift Of The Month Club

Uncommon beers for Christmas…?

I’m interested in giving a variety of beers for a Christmas gift. I know that you can do a Beer Of The Month Club but that’s almost too much beer and way too expensive for me. My friend loves to go to the liquor store and pick out uncommon ales but we live in a VERY small town and there isn’t really that many options. I honesly will not have the opprotunity to drive to a bigger city and hit the liquor stores before the holiday and would actually like to do this online if posssible. Has anyone ever ordered beer somewhere online? Thanks!
what about the beers of the Month Clubs? You can give this membership as a gift from what I understand

anything worth doing is worth doing right… I’d say postpone the beer gift in place of something else unless you can fit time into your schedule to get to a better beer store. The website beeradvocate.com has a beer store finder that can help you locate a good store anywhere in the world, literally. As per the beer of the month clubs; 1- the are VERY over priced for what you get, 2- you dont get to pick with great detail what beers you will be getting; ie you mention he likes ales (broad category) but half of the beers that come in your beer of the month club might be pilsners and lagers and be a miss to his tastes. Do check beeradvocate, click the “directory” link on the side to find a store and the site also offers an amazing database of beer styles and ratings. good luck

edit- if you act quickly you may be able to get your local store to get whatever beer you are looking for, it is not a problem for them (though no gurantee they will do it) they simply have to ask their distributor to drop off your special order along with their standard fair.
